Iranian series ‘The Monster’ enters domestic market of entertainment.
Directed by Mehran Modiri, the series has hit Iranian home screens on Monday April 29, 2019.
Written by Peyman Qasemkhani, the 15-part series is a comedic twist on the life of a couple living a healthy lifestyle until a man comes along causing them to change their life’s course and to enter illicit work.
The project is a new collaboration between long-time writer/director duo Modiri and Qasemkhani.
According to the project’s décor manager, Peyman Qane, “with close to 200 locations involved in the film the project used a wide variation of decorations which seemed as if all TV decorations can be summarized in this series.”
Casting for the series includes Farhad Aslani, Shabnam Moqaddami, Mehran Modiri, Shila Khodadad, Gohar Kheirandish, Sima Tirandaz, Mohammad Bahrani, Mohsen Qazi-Moradi, and Mir-Taher Mazloumi.
